The history of our collaboration with Ek Ek Paila (step by step)

Dear Friends of the GMP Foundation.

We are delighted to announce that our second Charity Medical Camp in the remote Humla area from October 23 to 30, 2017 has been successfully. Our team was able to examine and treat several hundreds of people over the period of four days.

We selected the location Humla in Simikot because regular medical examinations, which are implicitness for us in Western Europe, are not only unaffordable for the poor people in the Nepalese mountain region, but also facilities for those are not even available. Here in the far west and northwest of Nepal, where there are hardly any roads, the living conditions are extremely difficult. Providing the population with staple foods and medicines is often only possible by plane.

Therefore, the Georg-Michael-Praetorius Foundation is pleased to announce that together with our partner organization German Pharmacists’ Aid and Ek EK Paila we have been able to help people in Humla have the opportunity to be examined and treated by medical specialists, free of charge.

The next medical camp is expected to take place in the spring of 2018 in the remote area of Jumla in West Nepal.

If you want to support our work, we look forward to receiving your donation.
